If you can do the work your self you can save more than $ 200.00. I found the part on eBay for around $54.00 and I finally found the pulley tool to take it off also on eBay. If you are mechanically inclined you can do it yourself. You can find the correct directions on how to remove it by searching Google. com. I am outside of Chicago where do you live? It is a little bit of work but it can be done. You can also call a couple more places and see who give you the best deal. I hope this helps.

You will need to locate 3 M6 x 1.00 bolts about 90mm long. Otherwise..it'* pretty straight forward.

a guy form NJ has hooked me up with some really good links for both the balancer and the tool...this same guy has helped me with replacing the SC nose for a really good price...

but i will keep looking for directions and prices..

by the way...the guys name is Randy and his business is called... American Supercharger and if you come across his stuff on E-bay, he is vary legit. he was the one that found out it was the Balancer and not the SC...anybody else would have just sold me the SC to make a couple hundred bucks.

thanks for the help

Stay very far away from him if you have money. He is the worst rip-off poor-quality vendor we've ever seen. His slimy business tactics make the Mob look like infants.

He is pure scum when it comes to dealing with customers and has joined this Forum 3 times acting like someone he isn't to drum up more business. It'* all posted here.

Here is a link to instruction that can help you replace the HB on a 3800 engine. I also included the name of a mfg of the pulley you will need .The bolts for this project do not come in a regular pulley set. You can find this on eBay at Tool liquidator for $28.75. That was one of the cheapest prices I found and the shipping price was good.
Hope this helps

PIPE WRENCH?

Custom bar with tapped holes?

I strongly advise everyone here to NOT use that procedure.

Whoa...

You can get a harmonic balancer puller from most parts stores and when you return it..they refund you all the money. It'* a free loaner program that they setup to drum up more business from people that don't have all the tools.

The M6 bolts I personally bought a new set the other night at NAPA for $1.20 a bolt. If you spend $30 for bolts.. uh.. I am sorry for you.
