IIRC that quad driver controls three soleniods.

Boost Control
Evap
Torque Converter Clutch.

If any of the three on are bad..or something associated with them is wrong..you'll get that code.

I'd say you may have a bad BCS..but we can test further.

You probably won't feel a misfire unless it'* brutal. Get the scope..let'* find out what'* making noise. Before replacing a supercharger BCS, let'* get the other stuff fixed.

i just looked up the Quad-Driver " B " Fault and the info i found is

" Vacuum sensor circuit fault or quad driver "B" fault
(3.8L VIN1)
Corrosivity/add coolant"

now i just fixed a good 5 or 6 vacuum hoses but is there somthing im not thinking of? what else as far as a part could be leaking the would affect the Boost?

Fix the rattle..then worry about boost level.

While you have a Quad B fault..it could be something else. Reason I say this is that rattle could be loud enough that the PCM is holding things back.

We need to Fix A...then talk about B if it still exists.

ok i got the scope and it sound like its coming from the pulley at the front of the car near the ground...the Air conditioner one i think...by the way the scope it like the coolest tool i have ever used...i took the time to poke and prod all over the place under the hood just to hear what **** sounds like...lol

so what do i do from here...if the air pulley is the case what do i do to replace it...is it just the pulley or is it the whole unit?

thanks again for all the help!!!!!!

Some folks replace the AC clutch and others replace the whole AC compressor. Either way the compressor must come out to be fixed or replaced. Some shops charge less for only the clutch..but labor ends up costing much more.

Check out your local prices and make your decision from there.

BCS..lol not BCM.. BCM is something else

And yes..everyone should own a stethescope. It'* not only cool..but VERY handy.

Problem B is probably best for the Forced Induction area. Post it up seperately over there and we'll get you testing the BCS and BCA
