What hasent been mentioned is that there is speculation that GM changed the supplier of the manifold from Rochester to Delphi in 99. There seems to be a serious decrease in failures on this board from 95-98 and 99-04. This is just speculation at this point, but seems to be holding up.

intake

I was at the Dealer looking at a series III intake and it looks longer than ours.
Maybe my imagination. The throttle is totally electronic. No linkage.

yes the SIII have the drive by wire, that is why a TB adapter is needed
