Hey again...
Looking for pics of any 87-91 Bonnie'* that have customer hood scoop intakes.
I'm having the car repainted and I was thinking about having them done @ the same time. I've done a bit of messing around using photoshop to get an idea, but I was wondering if anyone has done/seen any.
Thanks

I don't think anyone here has hood scoops on an 87-91 model. But I assume Lund has the top mounted cosmetic kind. Our vendors also offer RAM air hoods.
Pictures on the web of 87-91 Bonnes are hard to come by... :(

Yea I noticed that 87-91'* with intakes on them are hard to find, haven't found one yet.
I just thought maybe some here had done a RAMAIR job, or just put them on for decor.
Hrm... RAMAIR or Turbo in an 87-91.... I should check out the "Performance" and/or "Brainstorming" forums to see if anyone has done either of those.
:?: Do you think putting actually scoops/intakes on the hood (not just for decor) would have any ill effect or any positive effects on the car? I know they would put more dirt into the engine compartment, but at the same time they might help cool the engine slightly as well.

If it was up to me, I'd forget about the hood scoops and duct cold air from underneath the car. Or get a long RAM intake. Have the metal pipe wind right down and throw a cone on the end. That will keep the engine clean, maintain the "sleeper" look and get that performance that you need
