Default oil pressure question

ok 1992 Bonneville see with 212,000 miles original everything. :o most of miles are high way miles. here is my question. cold start up 60 pounds of oil pressure after running and at 200 degrees driving on highway at 65 mph oil pressure holds around 50 pounds. then the part that scares me sitting at a stop light or just at an idle it is around 20 to 25 pounds :? :? if I kick up the rpms about 400 it goes to 40 pounds so am I looking at worn out main bearings or just a worn out oil pump. any other ideas would be great thanks

Mine gets down to around 25-30 on the gauge at hot idle. If you are worried you may want to have it checked with a real gauge. I believe 30 is normal.

Sounds ok to me. Pretty normal.

Mine does the same thing. I know I have good oil pressure, good oil, and a new oil sending unit. The gauge is most likely the suspect as was already said. You could probably track down a new gauge and stuff but not sure it is really worth it for this.
