Default SC oil and oil pressure

Removed the plug on the sc to check the oil and noticed that it smells like @ss. Is it supposed to smell that bad? What was the other oil approved for use in the sc besides oem?

I noticed that my oil pressure normally falls in the middle of the guage (40ish?) but then spikes up to almost the maximum when I accellerate from a stop. Is that large fluctuation ok or is the pressure sensor bad?

Yes, the SC oil smells really bad. You can use Mobil1 5w30 synthetic

You oil pressure should be just fine, but the oil pressure sender may be reading wrong.
