Default Oil Pressure...?

Hey all. Something weird seems to be going on with my oil pressure. Well, first of all, I put nearly one-hundred miles on her today, and all was well. She sat for maybe two-hours while I worked around the house, and now when I start her up, the oil pressure guage maxes itself out. I thought it got stuck, so I shut her off, and fired her back up, and sure enough, it did it again. I checked the oil, and I could stand to add maybe 1/2-quart, but I'm doing an oil-change the day after tommorrow, so it'* not really worth-it. I'm kind of lost as what to do, because I have to drive to work tommorrow in the morning. Any help is greatly appreciated.

it sounds like your oil pressure sender failed....when the sensor fails it typically fails to the high reading
