thats normal. when troubleshooting its best to find one symptom and fix it, if you start looking at a bunch of other stuff the focus goes from simple to overly complex. you know it doesnt spark and you didnt get a ckp signal at the icm plug. so you need to back track up to the sensor and see why you arent getting a signal. its likely what RJ said about the balancer/sensor mismatch. if you are using a 93 pcm, i would see if the 93 sensor and balancer will fit the 92 engine.

I checked rockauto, it looks like the cps from the 93 would fit, although i wouldnt be using the one little pinion hole, which i dont think is a big deal since it has 2 screws on the top and bottom, as for the harmonic balancer i dont know, it looks the same as mine 3x18x but the part numbers are different, maybe ill go to partsource with mine and compare with a 93 there.

ussually just get stuff from rock auto, or amazon lately. the parts stores are way expensive. the only thing i get at the local parts stores is heavy stuff that is a pain like rotors or cv shaft.

I was studying the pics, and it looks like the tone rings are closer together on the 93 than the 92. I would be inclined to get junkyard parts at this point, because you still have yet to fire up this engine. All the gremlins come out when it fires up. The less money you throw at it, the better, at least until you know where you stand.

And I believe the L67 block is the same 91-95, so I would expect the CPS and balancer to bold right up.

Okay, so i re adjusted the spacing and finally I'm getting the reading back from the cps.
So according to the icm test that justin provided, it would seem my icm is bad?
I will be going to the junkyard tomorrow and grabbing what i can find there!! They have afew 3800s!

Hmm, well i grabbed a few icm'* from the pick your part, if its not the icm or the cps what could it be? It appears that 92 and 93 used the exact same pcms!!
