Gotta love those plastic upper intake manifolds...what the heck were they thinking????

Am getting ready to replace the one on my 97 bonne soon....and, so I'm told, a lower temp thermostat will help in the long run. If anyone out there is going to do this replacement job, just be aware of the newer replacement parts...supposedly protects the EGR tube from burning things up. Parts store may try to sell you the OEM part...tell them NO!!!!!...you want the upgraded one!!!!....

To make this bullet proof. Get two 1/4" NPT plugs and the right drill/tap. Then put the plugs in the lower intake at the coolant ports. If there'* no coolant to the TB, there'* no coolant to leak if the EGR section cracks.
