Default need help please!!!!!

i need some help on the diagnosis and estimated cost of repair if possible for a problem with a 97 bonneville sse. i was coming back from a road trip to columbia and i had the cruise on at around 85 and it kept jumpin to 5k+ to try and get it up to speed. so i turned it off and a minute later it started soundin like it was gonna die. if i went above 2-3k rpms it would sound horrible. so i pulled to the nearest gas station because i looked and the oil gauge was almost down in the red. i put a quart of oil in and checked it and then put more in and checked it. i noticed oil was leakin from the bottom of the car, so i started it up and if i pressed the accelerator it would smoke like effing crazy from the engine compartment. and it would also make the oil gauge go up and down according the the accelerator pedal. so i cut it off and got picked up by a friend. came back the next day and it hadnt leaked that much oil during the night and it said the oil was full. so i cranked it and now most of the smoke was pouring out the exaust. and some from the engine compartment. i really need help with this, especially because it is my moms car and it sucks hardcore.

Check your coolant level, and describe the color of the oil. If the coolant and oil look fine, have a wet and dry compression check done.

Find out about the coolant. I'm concerned with the level and the color. You may have an upper intake failure, but regardless, I think a compression check is in the cards for you.
