My Tranny Gone South

Hi newbe here, been lurking around for a while.

92 SE option code FW2 tranny, The tranny started making a cluking noise the growling in 1st and 2nd. Around 52 it shifted into 3rd gets quieter, almost good. Slips in reverse and starting out.

Found a used junk yard one with 105K, 60 day warrenty for $250.

Just didn't need another project, have my '64 Oliver split with tranny problems almost put back together and now this.

Anything I need to watch for putting the new tranny in?

Biggest thing is to replace the Rear main seal on the engine( its a one piece design ), and while you have the replacement on the ground, pull the torque converter, dump the fluid, refill the converter with some dexron III, while the converter is out replace the tranny front pump seal....

Also check and make sure that the replacement tranny does not have dark color fluid, If its an extremely dark brown or almost black on the dipstick, take that trans back and fine another...
