First things first, we need to find out why your check engine light is on. Can you get to an Autozone and have it scanned?

Is the check engine light on steady or flashing? Please get it scanned and post the codes here. As for the miss. Pull the plugs and inspect them, change if they are old. How old are the plug wires? Change them. How old are the coils? Test them.

My 2000 ssei just started running weird yesterday, I pulled into a steep driveway and shut the car off when I came back out and started it back up it was missing, and the check engine light flashes when I drive it over 30mph, but if I come to a complete stop or have it in park the light does not flash. I pulled the front plugs and the middle one looked like it wasnt firing. I pulled the plug wire off the coil and it was throwing a good spark, the plugs and wires are only about 6 months old
