Default Brake bulb dimming?

My right brake light went out in January. I replaced it and all was well. However, it is now getting dimmer and sometimes not working at all. I've gotten pulled over for it twice in two nights now. Got out of a ticket both times by saying it had just come on.

Any clues as to why I'm going through bulbs so quickly on that side? I looked and the filaments seem to be fine.

Cleaned the socket of a little corrosion. We'll see what happens!

If you have corrosion in the socket, it would be a good idea to check elsewhere as well. Battery, grounds, etc. Make sure you have nice clean connections.
