Buddy mechanic of mine lost his socket and made a new one...just cut a hole n the right sized socket...

Then after either A) Put new tool in drawer, or B) Bring defective socket to Sears and say...it just broke off...

Air filter won't affect milage on a fuel injected engine like it will on a carburated engine.
