Ok gentlemen, hooked up mechanical guage. Oil pressure reads 44psi at 205 while idling. How can I correct the the factory guage? Where are all the grounds that I need to check? I'm already going to return the sending unit.

That'* awesome to hear.
I live with my flakey gauge. But it'* not dingin and laying in the red. My feeling is the gauge cluster is flakey or the sender might want to come from GM. Not 100% sure which is the best route.
