Default A miss under load...

I started to develop a miss when i put the engine under load, it usually comes right around 5 psi of boost. It started when I did an injection cleaning and reset the battery. The injection cleaning got the spark plugs so hot that it burnt the electrodes off of two plugs. So i put new plugs in it and it still misses and for the hell of it I bought plugs that were 2 ranges cooler. I did notice however that it doesn't miss until the car warms up. If i just start it and take off it goes without a problem pegging the boost gauge. So I don't really think its the plugs themselves since both new sets are causing problems. I'm wondering if it might have been something with resetting the battery and the car relearned wrong? Or it may be a broken plug wire, just not visibly. I just got my JET stage 2 chip today and I'm ordering Taylor wires now, but i dont want to install the chip until i fix this problem. If anyone has any thoughts, please post. thanks.

I'll bet a wire, with the possibility of a coil failing when it warms up.

Sounds like my car. I know you're supercharged but I had the same problem. Summer heat killed my acceleration and made it missfire. Now that it is winter i haven't had the problem. Also, my "service engine" light would flash but not long enough to set a code. i did have two injectors replaced and all the other ones cleaned just before winter so maybe it won't come back. How does you're car run in hot weather?

well we havent exactly had warm weather here in michigan lately, so i wouldnt be able to tell you how it ran.. lol. I'll test the coils when I get a chance, but if that is it, would I need to replace all 3? or would I be alright just doing 1? And wheres the cheapest place to go to get a set of Taylor wires? I thought I saw them for $50 somewhere but now I'm seeing the $70 range.

I'll do that tonight, I'll have someone get in the car and run it against the brake and see if i see any sparking... and btw, does anyone know if plug wires for a Series II supercharged will work on a Series I supercharged? They look basically the same with the DIS setup, so I'm just curious.

www.grandprixstore.com

I'll be buying another set myself. Had my #3 arc to my dipstick tube on my trip to CA last week.
