Where do i start to take that middle consol apart to clean out my seat adjustment buttons and to get some random **** out of my gear shifter?

The section with the seat switches just pops out. From just forward of the switches, all the way to the radius by the compartment. To remove the whole console cover, remove the small C clip from the forward facing portion of your shift **** assembly, and remove the handle. Take out the tray inside the ash tray, and remove the 2 torx screws. Put the tranny in neutral, and lift up on the console lid. It pivots from the rear. Yes, it'* a PITA. A chainsaw is faster!

I got to the point where the whole thing can slide off, but i cant get to the wires to unplug them, nor get the shifter **** off to slide the whole thing off...help.

I just need to know hwo to take off that damn shifter ****. How do i take out that C clip?
