here is a pic of the bottom of the gas tank in my car from when I put the full cherry bomb vortex/glasspack exhaust on ther about a month ago, with dual tips, its all original 1993 gear.

I assume the fuel level sensor is just a metal arm attached to an air-filled ball that floats on top of the gasoline in the rear of the tank (like the inside of the top of your toilet, but more sophisticated). The height of the gasoline in the rear of the tank changes with the angle of the car — like tipping a glass of water.

Mine does the same thing; at worst, it seems to vary by about ⅛ of a tank, and doesn't even stall with the needle below E. Mikey, unless yours stalls on curves or hills with plenty of fuel, I don't think you (or I) need to worry about our baffles.

You might be able to pull the bcm, but you'll likely lose many other features as well. I don't have FSM'* for your year and don't know what issues would happen from unplugging.
