Default I've got this cable in the trunk...

Do you have one? It'* multi-colored and ends with a plastic connector. It looks like it'* meant for towing lights, but everything I know about my car says it doesn't have the towing package.

I'm just curious about it and have been since 1997 when I bought it.

it might be for trailer lights, just because it wasnt factory installed doesnt mean it didnt have a hitch and wiring done aftermarket.

Where does it come from and where does it end? How many wires are in it?

Huh. Well, I'll try to get a pic when I get it back from the transmission shop tomorrow. It looks factory installed and there isn't a hitch. I thought it was something everyone has. It'* probably 6 feet long and about as thick as my monster jumper cables.

Pics on Monday, hopefully.

When I last looked at it it seemed to come from around the Driver side wheel well. I may be able to get a picture tonight with the girlfriend'* camera, but if I might not be able to upload until Monday, still. We're taking the car camping, see.
