yeah id say its definetely the map sensor...we took it out for a drive...or moreso my dad drove and i followed him in the truck(just in case)...he said it lacked its usual peppiness
and through all this ive learned that the map sensor or manifold absolute pressure sensor senses the changes in manifold pressure and vacuum and sends these signals to the computer which uses them to determine the proper timing....so if its shot, we i assume it is because its in pieces 
then that would definetely explain the lackluster performance if the timing is all screwed up....on a good note, ive noticed quite a bit of increase in throttle response..i credit this too cleaning all the crap off the throttle body, as well as the new upper intake having no gunk on it as compared to the old one...
we shall see if the butt dyno notices anything once i get a new map sensor...so im glad this is over for now...
and whoever congratulated me on a job well done...we should probably just make it a job done...certain things didnt get done in the way i wouldve had them done...such as dad not being able to figure out how to get the torque wrench to do 89 in. lbs....so just tightening them with a nut driver and one hand...then barely touching them with a ratchet....its ghetto i know, but its holding together so far

we somehow neglected to put the little metal canister, with the nipple on it and little rattles? in it...whatever that thing is, inside the PCV assembly....so yeah, it didnt quite work right, but it does now...runs like a champ! im happy, i got my baby back!
BUT! it does still have a check engine light, im thinkin either it hasnt cleared the codes from the original incident...or the fact i ripped my MAP sensor in half while we were messing with the PCV valve....the MAP sensor does sit on top of the PCV assembly correct? whatever that sensor is...it still seals the whole, but its Fed up...so i think we need a new one of them things that would definetely throw a code wouldnt it?

well we took it on and off several times while messing with the PCV valve, and it was a bugger to get out each time, we had to use alot of force...and that force was guided by impatience brought on by "i want to get this effin thing running!!!" so on my last removal i actually ripped the thing in half.....whoopsie! so we just replaced the whole thing....a nice little 50 dollar whoopsie..or 45 something, i cant remember the exact price
