Default Injector difference?

Injector difference?

What is the difference between the 95 injectors with 6 spray holes and the injectors with the plastic tip and 4 spray holes??

None. They flow the same. Simply a different manufacturer. Bosch or Rochester. They are interchangeable (L36).

Willwren
T hank you for the reply and information.

My fuel rail has a Bosch sticker and the regulator cap says Bosch and the injectors have 666 on them. Guess they are Bosch injectoes wish they said Busch instead.

Sounds like I need to try the Rochester 6 hole injectors.

FIE has found no difference in flow, nor any advantage in spray pattern between the two.

How many years did GM use Rochester Delphi injectors on L36 motors?

Thanks Willwren

I did not know that the recalled fuel pressure regulators were Rochester.

Got hold of a Rochester fuel rail and injectors from a ? year Bonneville today.
The injectors and pressure regulator will not interchange between the Bosch and Rochester fuel rails.

I was wrong.

Correction the clip that holds the injector to the rail will not interchange between the Bosch and Rochester rail’* that I have. The clip has to match the fuel rail on these and the fuel pressure regulator looks to be completely different.

Bosch injector.

Rochester injector.
