Idler Pulley Failure....
Thanks for all the info, guys! It doesn't sound like the mount job is all that bad. Probably will be a few weeks before I can get the time. I still need to do the coupler, there'* massive clunking in the steering system while turning around in parking lots and yesterday we discovered.... drumroll..... a rusted and leaking fuel tank filler tube! I've never had so many issues in such a short period of time with one car.
As for the mpg issue.... I'm pushing her pretty hard..... not as fast or hard as I drove with the sc on... but not letter her slouch either. Of course, these things are all relative. You might say I drive like your Grandma. Whatever the reason.... she is getting better mpg with the SC off.

that mount is pretty straight forward.
Jack that side of the car and support with a stand. Pull wheel and splash guard. Jack gently w/board to support motor from oil pan. Pull power steering pump (2 13mm bolts through the pulley holes, don't remove pulley) Remove belts.. Take body side of motor mount out, remove the rest of the motor side mount.. replace pulley by removing bolt in the center of it..
Consider the remainder of the pulley'* while you are here. As well.. you need to do all this to get to the waterpump. at this point....it'* a good consideration.
