Default Idler Pulley

Bought my new idler pulley today and noticed it was metal. the old one was plastic is there a reason that the new ones are metal?

Wait a minute. Are you trying to tell me that you replaced an OE idler pulley with something better?!

Great. You will probably not have to worry about this part again. Did you replace the Serpentine Belt or was it in good condition before you replaced the idler pulley?
