Any information on how to fix the parking brake on the 92 Bonnie'*, or where can I purchase one other than the dealer.

Umm... the parking brake is the rear brakes.

The pedal pulls on the cable which hold the brakes that hold the car. Which part do you need?

The pedal assembly, when you apply the parking brake aka emergency brake the pedal won't lock down it springs back up, I thought I had fix it, my car fail inspection because of that.

Hope the mechanism is just dirty. Slide the seat all the way back and get under there to clean the heck out of it. Put some oil on it to make it last. You don't want to swap out the pedal.

I have the same problem with my 92. I haven't tried to fix it yet, but it must be something to do with the small spring loaded part that has teeth on it, that is supposed to keep the pedal from coming back up. A little wd40 on that might help, if you can figure out where it is under the dash.

I actually purchased a new pedal assembly, but it looks like a real pain to change out, some of the dash has to come apart, that is for sure.

It'* a serious biatch to swap that pedal, You must remove the dash to get to the assembly.

Do you have a press to release type or the pull the handle to release type?
Are you trying to pull the handle to set it?
