High idle?
I've been experiencing a high idle speed. When the car is cold, the start revs kinda high, then idles about 1500. Today, hot car, hot outside, 1100 rpm. It'* higher than it used to be before I put in the new pump 300 miles ago. I replaced an old/cracked vacuum line on the main vacuum manifold. Got a smoother idle, but no change in speed.
Any ideas?

Have you checked your IAC valve to see if its clogged with carbon? This adjusts your idle on the t-body....it'* bolted right on the throttle body -- maybe some has a pic they can share that willl show its exact location.
I'd take that little guy out (careful not to strip or break the bolts) and clean it up.

Maybe the carbon is uneven, leaving gaps when the IAC thinks it is closed. You never know. A leaky injector would not make me happy, but I did just send out my originals to get serviced.

I don't know guys, it was just a guess, I was just trying to think about all the parts in the system that control idle....how about the TPS, could that be suspect as well?
