Thank you sonoma for your pictures. You saved us a ton of money! We didn't have to tow our car in and get it diagnosed.
I was driving down the road and the car just died(1994 bonneville, 3800). None of the door functions were working now either( power window, locks, mirrors) and the dome light was on then off, like a short. We hadn't had a problem before now either.
After getting it towed home we did some research here and sure enough, it was this grounding bus. We cleaned it up and sealed it and now everything is working again. I guess the bad ground here caused the fuel pump to quit and all the other stuff.
We never would have checked for this in a million years. We went through all the fuses and everything before coming here.
This site is the best!
