My pumps made no noise at all out of the ordinary.

BTW, I used a creeper with two 4x4'* across it. Dropped the tank onto it, and rolled it out.

I had 292k on the original pump, but it left me w/o a ride to work one morning. I dropped the tank by myself, over half full, with nothing but a floor jack and a 2x6.

Yeah thats what the guy at the auto parts store said. I really couldn't complain when that went out, or when my motor blew, that car is a tank, soon to be a quick tank

Changed mine at about 120K. It was still working, but you could hear it inside the cabin (LOUD!) and the noise was driving me nuts.

Figured it was gonna crap out while I was in BFE and decided to git 'er done before it stranded me.

Changed mine a few thousand miles ago. Mine was almost completly out. It was really loud when I just turned the key to on to listen to it, man was it loud. And it would start after a few more cranks then normal and would run normal for like a half hour then the car would either die or start sluggin. Really bad when on the highway doing 60 in rush hour. But got it replaced along with my filter with AC-DELCO cause my dad is a parts guy at a GM dealer here in Knox. Now my car is back up to par going on 180'* something miles. God do I love the 3800. By far the best eninge I have ever seen or drove. This is off topic, but my mom used to have a 03' MACH1, she bought it brand new with like 70 miles on it. And after 19,000 miles the engine blew. It had a black box in it that told her she was doing 47 MPH at like 1,300 RPM. Yeah I liked to drive it cause of 300 HP but what a piece of crap FORD. Anyways I just love the 3800'*.
