hood release cable broken... now what?

after getting it open i saw what had happened, and it was pretty much my fault. i had removed the upper radiator support, and when i quickly slapped everything toether to escape the death storm that was bearing down on me, i replaced the plastic radiator support over the cable, pinching it between the radiator and the metal frame of the car.

probably for the best. since the cable was actually frayed inside the cabin and it'* better it broke now then later.

i know the cable doesn't seem that difficult to replace, i just really don't want to. not today.
