Turn the filter by hand. It should be as tight as you can get it by hand. You know which way is tighten, right?

I dont know much about cars except for how to put gas in em, PCV Valve n wheres the oil filter located

check fliter it was on tight still leaking about a foot behind the filter

There are a lot of places it could be comming from, beings you just had a seal replaced I would take it back to the shop that did it and have them take a look. Maybe they screwed something up?

Aside from that, I would suggesting that you check the oil pressure sending unit and the oil filter adapter plate for leaks of that volume.

How much is leaking? Are we talking about drips or a stream?

If the filter was tightened with a filter wrench, then chances are the seal is split; causing the leak.
