Default Help my tach stays between 4000 and 4500 rpm all the time!

Today my tach was working fine, then on the way home it just went to 4500 RPM and stayed there! when I got home I shut the car off and it only drops to 3250 or so. Any idea what is wrong with it?

bang on ur dash and see if it moves...

take out the cluster and clean the connections next

take apart the cluster and see whats up lastly

That is good idea. My car did something like that when i 1st got the air working again. Never did it since

I just let it sit about 30min and went out and restarted it worked normal. Hope it stays that way!
