i have a impact wrench with 255 foot pounds or tourque.. is this enough power to loosen the HB bolt while some one holds the breaker bar to keep the engine from turning.?

and if possible can will wren (greenzilla) please tell me how to make a donation to the site.. its helped me alot and saved me alot as well..... thanks a million club..

You want a 6-point socket on a half-inch breaker bar and about a 24" to 36" piece of pipe to extend it. Run it out of the engine bay as low to the radiator as possible. You should have enough room to break it free from within the engine bay, up alongside the belt paths.

Coming in through the wheelwell will be too hard to keep it straight and still apply enough leverage.
ok so if i come in thru the top of the engine with the 6 point 24mm socket and breaker bar with extension pipe would i still have to use another breaker bar to hold the engine from turning and if so where would i put it to stop the engine from moving.? sorry for all the questions but i really appericate it guys...

That 225 impact won't do it.

As I mentioned back on page one, you need to remove the black plastic dust cover from the flyweel (under the car). You have to jam a tool of some sort in there to keep the engine from turning. I like to use a square bar (prybar) across two of the bolt heads, and have a helper turn the motor until the bar rotates around to wedge itself against the bell housing.

Pull the front passenger wheel and splash guard. (That'* my method) The balancer and bolt will be looking you in the eye. I put a 1/2" 24" breaker bar on it and used the front bumper for leverage and used both arms to pull the bar from under the car(or something to that effect).
