I have a 94 lesabre which will run great and then die while driving.Sometimes it will fire right back up but then again it might take a while.While it was in the down mode i sprayed some starting fluid and it fired.Would a fuel pump act like this?fuel relay?

Could be the pump going, could also be a dirty, plugged up fuel filter.

Fuel pump or fuel filter. I would suggest testing the fuel pressure.

Just a guess, but I would say just in front of the rear tire on the passenger side.

Yes, the pump can get tired. Changing the filter is easy and costs about $10, worth a try. If the relay was the problem the pump wouldn't turn on.

Also if you/or previous owners has run the car about empty alot the strainer could be dirty...BUt yes test the pressure if low replace filter then go from there
