Anyone know the size of fuel lines between the sender and engine? 3/8" or 5/16"?

What year was the fuel pump you got? I have an extra 98 Lumina LTZ (L36 car) fuel pump from a 13k car spare lying around.

It'* a new series I replacement pump. Already in.

It turns out my MPG was really bad this tank. After dropping the tank and readjusting the arm, the low fuel light was still on at 270 miles. Went to the gas station and put 17 gallons in. Only 16 mpg. The needle was a hair above empty. Maybe it'* a little more accurate now. I'm hoping the PCM was learning and my lead foot caused the bad mpg.

Fuel line size? Anyone? I tried measuring and it looks between 5/16 and 3/8. I want to cut the old plastic ends off, clean the metal sender lines and put new connectors on so they actually are "quick connect."
