I have a 97 SSEI the security light is on and wont go off (while running). I searched the site and came up the trunk sensor issue. I disconnected the harness with the blue and black wire w/ white connector from the braided steel cable in the lid and the light is still on. What is my next step here, the black pin switch under the hood? I tried both keys and cleaned them as well, no change. The car runs and drives fine too. Can this become a reliability problem? I believe there is a starter kill with the security system as well, right?

If the car starts up then its not an issue with the key or the key sensing circuitry. If it did not sense the right key the car would not even turn over.
