Default stock Monsoon system AM prob

When I sit listening to AM radio on Accessory (Games not music -) the reception is great. As soon as I turn to start-run (engine running) I lose most of the am reception. To a point that I have to turn up the volumn all the way just to hear the reception it is getting. Anyone have a thoughts on why? Thanks Mark L

My first response is "who uses AM" ...lol

Buddy of mine explained that because of the AM signal there can be tons of interference. Hence our need for FM.

To help, try changing your bass and treble settings as a filter of the static.
