im getting a code of po507 dose any one know what is going on and how to fix it

i have a 97 bonneville se l36 eng. k i have 104,000 mi on the car

PO507 Idle control system RPM higher than expected

sounds like a dirty IAC to me. (Idle air control)

So that'* what you needed the code for CC. Yea, check what he has suggested. I'm sure someone can come up with a procedure to help you out.

I could have given him that too...FSM is right here.

check the connects to the PCM, and IAC.

If those look good, clean/replace it.

I'd do it first, and worry about 'what if' later.

The best suggestion at this point is to get a new TB gasket, and actually remove it from the car for a good cleaning. Remove the MAF sensor before cleaning. Pay close attention to the IAC passage and IAC itself.

If that doesn't work, we'll discuss it at that time.

ok here is the update i replace the IAC with a new one and clean the TB out the old one was bad the ses light is now off i hope ill be ok now

The next thing we'd have told you to do was go after a vacuum leak, but it didn't come to that.
