That'* what i'm trying to say , there is no OPENING to the canister. It'* completely sealed off!
The canister is inside of a basket and the basket has a hole on the bottom . But that'* it the canister is closed off! There is a filter in the purge valve and that'* super clean but I changed it anyway , I don't want to break it open but it looks like it was welded shut or glue together!

Well if THAT'* the case then! I would check for cracked or broken vacuum lines.

So far I have checked the lines , perfect , but I changed them any way just to prevent future problems. I need to get a price for the canister and purge valve> It'* it'* cheap enough I'll get it any way .
I also did the code thing again still 440 nothing else . These are usually the problems that you can fix with new plugs, wire and oxygen sensors cause that will clean the air a little better and hide the real problem , but I wanna replace all that **** any way. I changed that stuff 2k ao but I'm sure I'll be happier the whole system is up to date plans for tommorrow are to get all new vaccum lines then do the check on all the sensors . I might just take out the engine light for now cause it drives me CRAZY!!! I'll also try disconnecting the batt tommorrow but not sure if when the system relearns it will think the problem is normal.

BY THE WAY The way you guys are posting make this look like the best message board around , you guys are great thanks for the advice and time

Hey, I don't think plugs and the O2 are the problem. If they need it anyway, go ahead, you'll be glad you did, but I'd check that SV on the canister like I mentioned earlier. We were talking after you left, and we're thinking it'* something so stupidly simple, we're all overlooking it. You have a good one for all of us
