Default Check Gauges Light

Anyone else notice then when the "Check Gauges" light comes on it is spelled Gages and not Gauges? I don't know if that was just an error or Gages is GM'* name for everything but my friends and I noticed in the one day and have been wondering ever since.

Maybe its just another way to spell it and it stays pronounced the same *shrug*

In my FSM they are spelled GAGE on the electrical charts. Maybe it'* a European thing.

Gage is a valid alternate spelling.
