The gaskets are like $45 from GMPD, If you can put on an intake, You can probably do the lowers. This is definatly giving me reasoning to do the write-up when I do mine eh guys? GMPD got me 3-5 day shipping, mon + tues are days 4 and 5.

quick chime in -

it'* not the VATs if you heard a clicking sound. that is, if it was more than one click, it was more than likely not the vats. when the vats kicks in, it doesn't try to do *anything*.

go out and buy some new terminal bolts, and you'll save yourself the headache of this happening again. if that doesn't completely take care of your problem, replace the battery wires.

Only 1 click when I turn the key forward like if its dead but its not the battery because we have tried a jumpstart and that isnt the problem. I really dont know what it is but we'll see what Pepboys has to say about it. Hopefully they arent giving us the runaround.

it'* money on the connections then. don't know if pep boys will tell you that or not, but that'* where your problem is. get new battery bolts and if needed, new wires as well.

Are you sure man? I'll see what my dad says but Im not sure. Will those battery cables be easy to install if I just jack up the car and bust out with the ratchet?

You didnt clean out the battery terminals enough. When this happened to me I could listen to the radio and stuff in the car, there just wasnt enough amps to start the car.

Take the entire positive red battery terminal apart! A toothbrush wont do crap, you need a wire brush and some baking soda in water. You can get by with a toothbrush but definitly use the baking soda. Take the entire red terminal apart, there is the accessory one that is close to the battery, and the one for the engine that is farther back and probably loaded with corrosion.

Its free and easy to do.

I had the same thing happen on my car. The problem was that i had a faulty battery that was leaking in the terminals. Replaced the battery and it all was fine after that. You can soak the terminals in soda.... it gets off that corrosion great. Be sure to do what the post above said first...... get a new terminal bolt... They are real cheap. Your car should start for at least a little while when you replace it.

If this doesnt work what else could it possibly be? The first time we took it in for this problem the guy DID say it was a loose battery cable so hopefully the cables are just bad.
