Default A/C Problem

I was trying to charge my A/C system the other day and am now having a problem. It was originally just low so the compressor would kick on and off. After putting some refrigerent in it, the compressor has now stopped kicking in all together. I tried putting a jumper in the plug for the evaperator, switching relays, and I have checked all the fuses. I also scanned it with and Autoxray scanner and there are no codes but when I looked at the real time data it says the A/C is disabled. Any idea what to look for? It'* a 1993 SE. Thank you.

Someone converted it before I bought the car so I used 134a.

Did you overcharge to the point that one of the swtiches has disabled it?

No, unless my gauge was wrong. I didn't get a chance to put much into it when the compressor stopped so it still should be pretty low. Is there a way to check if its disabled by a switch?

A Tech 2 scanner would tell you what the switches are reading. Other than that..I think you could probably test with parameters from the FSM. It probably tells you what the ohm readings for a switch are.

If I did overcharge it and released some of the pressure would it start working again or would I have to reset something since it is showing disabled?

This is a 93SE. A tech 2 scanner won't work. He needs a Tech1 to do that.

Sorry...thought Tech 2 was backwards compatible. Odd that GM wouldn't do that.
