Yes, the V5 compressor in our cars is a variable compression unit that does not need to cycle on and off.

Also, your compressor certainly will turn on below 50*. What do you think happens when you turn on your defroster? I've never heard of the A/C lines freezing. :?

It'* over 50 degrees outside.. Nate..check the manual for some wiring between ECC and PCM and or ECC diagnosis. Maybe it'* not seeing the correct conditions to request the pcm to turn on the ac.

At least your not in GA. I actually know nothing about the FSM or the how the PCM controls it. But I do hope you get it fixed.
