43 psi should be the minimum. Anything less, and the engine will barely run.

Given the age of the car and the likelihood the pump hasn't been changed, I'd say its time for a new one.

Here'* more info, Put in a new fuel pump and filter and the car does the same thing.
Still starts, then stalls right away.

I will check that pressure again but first I am going to try a key re-learn as I did have a broken wire in the lock cylinder that was shorting to the key re-minder tabs and I replaced the lock.
If that doesn't work, then I will follow with a PassKey I diagnostics to see if that short might have failed the theft module.
I will post after I try this.

Got a question I can't seem to find and answer to.
I tried the re-learn but I did not see any security light go on either when I turn the key on or let it sit for awhile or when I try to start it.
The re-learn says to turn the key on with the engine off for 11 min'* and don't proceed to the next step until the security light goes go'* off or stops blinking.
The only light'* that stay on are "service engine soon" and "check gauges" lights.

if the new key is a different resistance then its not going to work, you should put in a resistor the same resistance of the old key. look up bypassing vats, there are a million threads

you should still see a security light though unless the bulb is out

I will have to check the bulb, but the key was made with the same resistance. I double checked after it was made to make sure.
