It would be totally custom, i think one of the ones that swings out and up will be better. So the door rotates out and up at the same time, so the side that faces out will face forward when open..

Ok so the lambo that was posted just pivoted straight up right? Take that door at that angle and swing it 90 degrees so it'* perpendicular to the car when up. So if you were right infront of it, youd see the part that would normally show on the side.

First sorry to hear about the and glad you are ok. Cars are great but when you’re spinning around at high rates of speed its nice to be protected.
As for the door.lol I admit looking into all the door options and the best one is the $uicide deal. It will require bodywork on the rear section by the rear 1/4 window.
You can get a hinge made to do what you want but it is very expensive.

interesting...i think i get the whole 90 degreee thing now...but what made me think about this whole pivot-door deal was tight parking spaces...it would be nice to pivot the door up without having to worry about how close you are to a building...etc. i have honestly never seen the door that you decribed with the 90 degree angle swivel thingy...but it actually would loook pretty tight from what i can imagine. if you can find a pic, post it so i can educate meeself! thanks!...by the way, the day before my crash, i gave a stang GT a surprising run for his V8 money! he had his girl with him...and i know what she was thinking "ooooh my man has got a nice sounding, great looking GT and who is this kid driving his grandma'* car?....and then...."WOW, that classy car is FAST! and her boyfriend is like totally embarrassed that his GT struggled with a grannymobile... THE END! (that was a terribly written story...i know) but it'* true! i kept with him strong until my lane ended (about 1/8th of a mile) and he WAS pushing it cuz he squalled through his first 2 or 3!

A moment of silence for the white Bonnie..................................
I am glad to know that the car is stout. I feel much safer now. And I'm glad to know that my little boy will also be safe in there.
I feel your pain...
