Scott Cook and INTENSE own BADSSEi. Ed IS, however, non ear washing worthy. He is THE man for stock parts.

Well steve here ya go!
Quality is better than quantity...lol
here is a quick estimate of a long block engine install (mitchell labor times)
looks like I cant cut and paste so...
labor time ~ 18 hrs at our labor rate of 55/hr = $990 which includes some shop supplies (engine Gasket set, coolant and oil etc is extra)
and since we dont want to use your new engine to try and find out why the old one overheated/blew we would like to replace the WP/hoses/thermostat (get a 180*) and the radiator which with a full gasket set (not sure if it'* the correct kit-just looked in our Carquest ACL online database) ballpark is about 650$ on parts
and this is ballpark lets not get into what we were talking about with the trans...
but if you sourced a good used trans from ED it would be nuthing labor wise to throw it in with the new engine.
and as always we can play with the #'* a bit, but at least you will know it was done right, (as a gearhead I live, eat, sleep and play with cars alot)
Now installing a rear engine and trans would cost a bit more...
(first twin engine Bonnie?!?!
)
check around and let me know what ya think! at least it'* an estimate fer ya!

Maybe your pockets will feel better maybe they won't. If I let Mechanic Dan buy the parts it'* usually 20% cheaper for the same part. Quantity discounts.......knowing the guy at the parts store also helps...
