2nd. the first was my 97 SSE NA with the plastic intake. Once I drop the oil pan, what do i do next? Also, ho can i tell if the water pump is bad?

Take the belt off the water pump and spin it. How does it FEEL?

Don't drop the pan yourself. Have the mechanic do it, and have him remove 2 or 3 rod caps and inspect the bearings. I bet you spun a few.

Steve...remember last night. At this point..it'* time for the mechanic. You'll bloody less knuckles and enjoy getting the car back in about 1/4 of the time it would take to fix it yourself.

I just called Ed and everything is looking good so far. YAAAAYY!!!!! I cant wait to get the motor adn his shop isnt to far from the route i take to get to New Jersey when i deliver there.
