My car stopped on e early this morning after my meeting and it stopped on me on the xpressway in the xpress lane. I didnt have my car charger, i used up all my roadside towing from my previous car, my temp gauge was at 280 and the car just loss power, the car was smoking really bad, i could get help for 5 1/2 hours and was dosing off on the shoulder and cars were passing me really fast so it was really uncomfortable. I just made it in the house after a long ride and walk home. An IDOT tow truck did come to my rescue at 5am this morning but they only service the xpressways. I didnt have any money for a tow so my car is in chinatown. I am looking for my insurance papers to see if i haeve roadside avaiable thru them. If so, i will be a little relieved. Now I know its going to be at least 2000 to fix this crap. I just have a feally something blew. I am never changing a thermostat ever again. I tried my best to fix the problem earlier when i did this but it never helped. Darn!!!!!!!!!!!!

i didnt know i typed an e there. my coolant leaked out. from the left side of the car underneath.

hhmm upper radiator hose?

but i lost power and i think the engine is knocoking. the check gauges cam on and the temp gauge was at 280 -300* in the red. i know the motor is probably threw

Does anyone in the chicagoland area have roadside assiststance so i can get my car towed?
