Default Aluminum Frame LIM gaskets for Series II pix (56k warning)

Ben (Bignews1) stopped by today with a new set of Aluminum frame lower intake manifold gaskets he just purchased from our local GM dealer for $59 + tax.

With any luck, this is the solution we have been long awaiting. I hope with these gaskets, a reduced diameter stovepipe, and a sleeved upper, that the average L-36 can be restored to become as reliable and long-lived as its predecessors.

I hope these will fit any Series II engine. Ben bought them for his '97, but they seem to be a perfect fit for my '95 too.

Can't remember these pins. Do all Series IIs have locating pins on the cylinder heads?

Yeah, I know. But I need these for next weekend, and GMPD has a reputation for taking their sweet time to ship orders. And when you factor in the GMPD shipping charges (which seem steep to me), I don't think $59 is a huge ripoff.

But even more importantly, this is the first time I've actually seen these gaskets to verify their existence. I'm glad GM updated the design, and I'm looking forward to installing them with my newly sleeved UIM.

Speaking of GM parts Direct, I just logged on to see where my new o2 sensor is and they had a note up saying they were moving and it'* going to be a while before they ship it.

Naturally, there wasn't any such note when I ordered. That kinda pisses me off.

Yeah.. same thing happened to me. I ordered a set of exhaust tips 3 weeks ago, just got a ship notice an hour ago.
