My ABS light comes on approximately 10 minutes after driving on cold days and approximately after 5 minutes during hot days after I first turn the car and drive, it just stays on as I drive. But if I just turn the ignition off and re-start the car, the light will come off but will turn back on after a few minutes of driving. I had the codes pulled by GM and they said they found none. I allready replaced both font wheel/hub sensors and still same issue. I have tested the ABS system and it works fine while the light is off. once the light comes the ABS is disabled. Anybody have any clues ?

Have you checked the rear hub bearings? Along with wireing?

Take it back to the dealer when the antilock light is on, and have them pull the antilock brake codes, that way they can't claim there is no code there. The antilock codes are different than PCM codes.

In my 1998 SSE I have both my ABS and Traction Off lights on. Scanned for codes with lights on (they are on 100% of the time the ignition is on) and there are no codes pertaining to the ABS or TC). ABS and TC don't work either. All sensors are in place, connected.
I'm going to unplug and clean the connections since it'* easy and free.

What did you use to scan for codes?

Had Advanced Auto Parts use their Actron scantool, and then had Champion Auto parts use their SnapOn Scantool. Advance Auto got the code for the Purge Canister sensor (long, hard shifts) and Champion got the code for Park Neutral Switch and Front bank lean (front o2 sensor). I forget the exact code #'* now, but they kept them on record and I am going to stop back in there after I swap the new AC Delco AFS 109 in this weekend and see what shows up then.
No ABS or Traction Control codes with either scan tool. :?: :?

I'm not so sure that either of those tools will retrieve antilock codes, I know the Actron won't. You probably need a Tech II to do the antilock codes.

Beat me too it. the Tech II is GM'* scantool is the only one really, that'* going to communicate with the ABS system. Most likely you've got an open or short in a sensor or wiring. Those are the usual codes you'll get with GM cars like ours. 9 times out of 10 it'* a exactly what the code reads, an open or short in the sensor or wiring. If you ask me the design of the sensor connectors suck becasue they're exposed to the elements and can collect crap and corrosion easily. That'* what I'm dealing with on the fronts right now.
