Default ABS Light On

Hi Guys,

I have a 96 Bonneville SE, about 105k on the odometer. Last night while driving home, the Antilock(ABS) light came on while driving on an expressway. Only this light was on, not the other Brake light. The brakes seemed to work fine, so i kept going. Today, i had to run errands and the light was off while driving there. On the way back, the light came back on again and stayed on during the ride home. We have had a big snow storm recently and i dont know if that has anything to do with whats wrong. This is my first winter with the car and for that matter, i think this is the car'* first winter. Any ideas on whats wrong? Is it expensive to get it fixed? Will it effect the safety of the vehicle if I don't get it fixed? Any ideas would help..Thanks......

As soon as you can get under there, check where the wire connects at the wheel hub. These can get loose or dirty and throw that light.

Need to retrieve the ABS codes. I believe only the dealer or somebody with a Tech 1 or Tech 2 can do it.
