Default ABS Code Reader for 96 Bonnie SE

I've gotten a lot of minor issues with my son'* 96 Bonneville SE taken care of but there are still some niggling problems. For one, the ABS light is on and I wanted to take the easy way out if possible and use a Code Reader/Scanner to check the code, rather than pulling every wheel off to check each individual WSS for problems. Also thought that an actual reader might give me more detailed information. Problem is...I can't seem to find an ABS reader that reads Bonneville codes prior to 2000.

Anybody have any suggestions on where I can look for a reader? Thanks.

A code reader won't pick up those codes. You need a tech II scanner, and that means a trip to the dealer. You are right in having it scanned, because there is a number of issues that can turn the ABS light on.
